Faculty Affairs Committee

Purpose

The Faculty Affairs Committee serves to support and address faculty interests and concerns by providing a channel in which these issues can be communicated to the appropriate college authorities.

Responsibilities

  1. Advise the Faculty Senate and the faculty on matters pertaining to faculty welfare, e.g. recommendation to the Board of Trustees concerning faculty salaries and fringe benefits;
  2. Make recommendations in areas of faculty concerns that are considered to be in the best interests of the College, e.g. Faculty Development;
  3. Furnish specific advice and liaison services to individual faculty members;
  4. Draw on professional assistance if and when necessary.
