Faculty Affairs Committee
Purpose
The Faculty Affairs Committee serves to support and address faculty interests and concerns by providing a channel in which these issues can be communicated to the appropriate college authorities.
Responsibilities
- Advise the Faculty Senate and the faculty on matters pertaining to faculty welfare, e.g. recommendation to the Board of Trustees concerning faculty salaries and fringe benefits;
- Make recommendations in areas of faculty concerns that are considered to be in the best interests of the College, e.g. Faculty Development;
- Furnish specific advice and liaison services to individual faculty members;
- Draw on professional assistance if and when necessary.
