Academic and Faculty Affairs Committee
The Committee will assist the Office of Academic Affairs in promoting a culture of academic excellence, in supporting a student-centered focus in all academic programs, co-curricular programs, and in developing faculty as teachers and scholars. This Office also encourages the practice of values that include concern for the welfare of humanity, and an awareness of the social issues confronting a diverse global society.
Admissions and Enrollment Committee
The purpose of the Admissions & Enrollment Management Committee of the Board of Trustees of Mount Saint Mary College is to:
Foster relationships that will lead to the growth of new markets, retention of current students and engagement with the local community in meaningful ways; Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and education throughout the Mount Saint Mary College community, the Hudson Valley, and beyond; Serve as an advocate of the College in each committee members' respective professional and personal spheres of influence.
Finance Committee & Investment Committee
The Finance Committee oversees the fiscal stability and long-term economic health of the College. The committee monitors the College's financial operations, debt level, and investment performance; requires the maintenance of accurate and complete financial records; and maintains open lines of communications with the board about the institution's financial condition.
The Investment sub-committee is responsible to maintain the prudent and effective investment of the endowment, formulate investment policies, and oversee management of the endowment. It is responsible for the endowment, planned gift annuities and life income funds, and other investment assets of the institution.
Governance Committee
The Governance Committee handles matters concerning the by-laws, Trustee nominations and assessments, BOT training, the presidential search procedures, and presidential evaluation.
Advancement Committee
The Advancement Committee has oversight responsibilities which ensure that a properly conducted advancement program will solicit, steward and maintain the college's relationship with every segment of the greater College community, as well as with foundations, corporations, and government agencies, with the goal of seeking financial support and other forms of assistance in advancing the College's mission.
Audit & Risk Management Committee
The Audit Committee assists the Board in ensuring that the appropriate accounting policies and internal controls are in place and that financial statements and other reports are issued on time and in accordance with regulatory obligations. The Audit Committee also communicates with the Board, management and internal and external auditors to ensure an accurate exchange of ideas and information occurs as it relates to the financial operations and internal controls of the College.
Facilities Committee
The Facilities Committee shall consider all matters relating to the planning of new facilities and assuring appropriate maintenance and upkeep for existing facilities and the campus site plan within available resources.
Student Affairs Committee
The Student Affairs Committee shall have oversight responsibility for programs, practices, and policies related
to enrollment, retention, student life, campus ministry and athletics.
