REL 3182 RELIGION & PERSONAL GROWTH

This course will focus on the religious world view, and examine how it is intimately connected with personal and cultural identity, health, and growth.  In this course, students will gain knowledge of the Roman Catholic faith through primary readings in Sacred Scripture, spiritual literary classics of the Early Church, poetry, paintings, and spiritual reflections from modern theologians.  Students will have consistent opportunities to interpret, discuss, and assimilate findings into their personal lives and faith.  While religion in the global sense will be taken into account at the start, the primary focus of the course will be on the biblical, Judeo-Christian traditions.
