MGT 5160 SPORT ECONOMICS
Application of economic theory to the markets of professional and amateur sports. This course applies microeconomic economic principles to analyze a wide range of issues within the realm of professional sports and intercollegiate athletics. Topics included are the analysis of the optimal choice of inputs based on the demand, cost, revenue, and profit analysis, the market structure of the sports industry, public finance of sports facilities, and the organization and labor market conditions of the sports industry.
