Mace Bearer

The mace bearer is the active faculty member with the most years of service to the college. For each occasion, faculty will be invited to carry the mace beginning with the most senior member. If an individual is unavailable for any reason, the next longest-serving faculty member will be invited until a mace bearer is identified.

The mace bearer is a separate position from master of ceremonies. Masters of ceremonies are selected on a case-by-case basis, regardless of years of service, by event organizers.
