ED 5563 WRITING INSTRUCTION FOR LITERACY LEADERS

This course focuses on the current research on writing instruction and elementary and secondary children’s writing development.  Candidates will study writing genres, instructional approaches, and assessment tools to support lifelong writers for all learners, including English language learners and students with and without disabilities.  This course will also focus on the knowledge, skills, and experiences related to promoting effective writing practices with teachers, administrators and other professionals.
