PSY 4250 PSYCHOPATHOLOGY
This course will introduce the student to the science of psychopathology. The role of personal, interpersonal, environmental, and sociocultural variables in psychopathology will be explored. Anxiety and mood disorders, psychosis, as well as life-span problems such as sexual, substance abuse and eating disorders will be examined including clinical diagnosis and contemporary treatment modalities. The contributions from biological, psychodynamic, behavioral, cognitive, humanistic and ecological models regarding etiology, course of development, assessment, and treatment will be examined at length.
