NUR 3015 INFORMATICS, HEALTHCARE TECHNOLOGIES AND INNOVATION IN HEALTHCARE
This course explores the role of information and communication technology (ICT) in modern nursing practice, focusing on its application in patient care, data analysis, and decision-making. Students will learn to integrate ICT tools and informatics processes to enhance healthcare delivery, documentation, and provider-patient communication across diverse settings. Emphasis is placed on ethical, legal, and regulatory standards for technology use in healthcare. Additionally, students will evaluate emerging innovations and their impact on patient outcomes, care quality, and system efficiency. This is the first course in the RN - BSN sequence. This course is offered for students in the RN-BSN program only.
