REL 4100 THEOLOGY OF FILM
A study of religious themes as seen in the modern cinema, this course will introduce students to the importance of art and beauty to the study of theology. It will present the characteristics of Christ-figures in film and literature as well as introduce the student to film criticism with particular attention to theological criticism and how to identify various theological themes in film. The students will progressively learn the various methods while applying them to various films shown throughout the course.
