HIS 4070 COORDINATING SEMINAR

This seminar course is devoted to achieving student success in terms of the research for, and writing of, a final history capstone paper of 20 to 30 pages. The course introduces students to principles of historical method, a brief survey of historiography, and directions for readings and sources to conduct research in history. Students will be expected to show mastery of the secondary sources in their field, and to efficiently incorporate primary sources as they work to craft a sophisticated and original analysis of their topic. To achieve this goal, students will submit several milestones for their final project, and give a formal presentation of their findings.
