CYB 4550 ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FOR CYBERSECURITY OPERATIONS
This course explores the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in cybersecurity operations. Students will learn how AI is used to detect threats, analyze network behavior, automate security processes, and enhance defensive capabilities. Topics may include anomaly detection, intrusion detection systems, threat intelligence and attacks against AI systems such as evasion, data poisoning, prompt injections and model inversion. The course also examines defensive strategies to secure AI models against adversarial threats. Through hands-on labs students will gain practical experience using AI tools and techniques to address real-world cybersecurity challenges.
Prerequisite
CYB 1200 and
CSC 2550/
CIT 2550. It is recommended but not required that students take CYB 3680/CSC 3680/CIT 3680 - Introduction to Machine Learning - prior to taking this course.
