Business Management & Administration BS/MBA (4 + 1 Program)
Students who complete the full, 4 + 1 course sequence will have experienced an integrated program of graduate studies, incorporating liberal arts strengths with contemporary business management studies. The BS in Business Management and Administration/MBA program at the Mount is designed to prepare students for careers in diverse organizational settings by inculcating them with skills, abilities and competencies that allow them to evaluate, communicate and solve business problems with ethical reasoning. Students may choose to pursue a Sports Management concentration as part of the MBA degree.
The undergraduate program provides students with the professional knowledge needed for key business disciplines, within the context of a comprehensive liberal arts education. Both the undergraduate and graduate business programs provide a capstone experience that is largely experiential, involving work with organizational clients and requiring integration of the major business functional areas, including finance, law, marketing, management and accounting.
Undergraduate Business Management and Administration students are eligible to declare the 4 + 1 BS/MBA Track through the semester in which they have accrued 90 career credits. BS/MBA undergraduate business students must maintain a GPA of at least 2.75 to remain eligible for admission in the MBA Program. Upon the completion of 90 credits or lower, if the 2.75 GPA requirement is not met, students are required to transfer to the non 4 + 1 in business.
