MBA Course Scheduling

Courses are offered during accelerated sessions throughout the year. Sessions U and V constitute the fall term; sessions X and Y constitute the spring term; sessions A and B constitute the 7-week summer terms.

Classes meet for eight weeks during the fall and spring, and seven weeks during the summer, either in an enhanced asynchronous online format. MBA students will be required to attend in-person professional development events twice per year. In the event the student is unable to attend, alternate options may be provided by the Graduate Coordinator. In the case of the MGT 6700 Practicum capstone course, the course involves work over a 15-week semester, however students register for the course in one eight-week session (i.e. student have a full 15-weeks to complete the Practicum hours and work). The MGT 6600 Capstone includes an out-of-class independent student project that will represent a minimum of 15 hours of student work. Course contact hours meet the state requirements for graduate courses. If a student opts for the MGT 6530 Directed Research/Thesis option as a Capstone course, they will discuss the Thesis project with the MBA Coordinator during advisement -  and it is recommended that such discussion occur at the start of a student's studies in the MBA program, since work on a Thesis generally takes longer than one session or one semester.
