NUR 2000 PALLIATIVE CARE

Palliative care is an approach that improves the quality of life of individuals and their families facing serious illness, through the prevention and relief of suffering. This course offers an introduction on the early identification, assessment and management of pain and other symptoms, physical, psycho-social and spiritual, with a concurrent focus on communication and support throughout the transition of illness, dying, and death.
