HSR 1030 INTRODUCTION TO SOCIAL WORK

Students will review and assess the history of human services in the United States and Europe. They will become familiar with various micro and macro practice models of service provision and social policy and be able to discuss their advantages and disadvantages. Career opportunities in human services will be explored and ethical issues facing human services will be discussed.
