FYE 1010 FIRST-YEAR CONNECTIONS SERIES
As a part of their academic schedule, and concurrent with enrollment in their FYE Learning Communities, FYE students will be required to participate in a series of six workshops. Associated assignments will be incorporated into their Learning Community courses. These workshops complement the LC academic work by engaging students in
- strategies for academic success;
- our Dominican heritage;
- service and service learning;
- principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion;
- holistic wellbeing and safety; and
- self-reflection around personal and career development.
The First-Year Connections series is designed to equip students with foundational skills necessary for personal and academic success at the Mount. These integrated workshops will provide students an opportunity to reflect on their own values, sharpen their self-awareness, and be equipped to make positive changes in college and beyond.
