ENG 1040 INTRODUCTION TO LITERARY ANALYSIS

An introduction to the genres of literature as well as to the critical reading and writing skills necessary for success within the discipline of English. In this writing intensive course, students will do close reading of literary texts and write researched, documented essays using various critical approaches.

*A grade of C or better is required to continue as an English major. Students who earn less than a C may repeat this course only once.
