PSY 3000 PRINCIPLES AND TECHNIQUES OF INTERVIEWING AND COUNSELING

This is a basic course in one-to-one and group therapeutic interaction between the human services worker and the individual client. Basic interviewing techniques and intervention skills are introduced. The major theories of counseling are introduced accompanied by practice in developing awareness of the dynamics of the interpersonal process in counseling as these dynamics pertain to the helping relationship.
