NUR 2024 FUNDAMENTALS OF NURSING PRACTICE

This course provides the opportunity to learn and practice procedures that will be necessary for giving nursing care to clients of all ages. Emphasis is on the development of psychomotor skills needed to give personal care, foster hygiene, and administer medications. Techniques of maintaining patient safety while meeting mobility, energy, and elimination needs are addressed through lecture, skills lab, and clinical experiences. Students will learn procedures in the college laboratory, and will have opportunities to practice them in select clinical areas.
