BIO 3040 VERTEBRATE BIOLOGY

Provides the student with an understanding of vertebrate morphology and evolution. Students will study the morphology of the various groups of vertebrates. Morphological adaptation will be related to organism function in the context of evolution. Laboratory work includes dissection of the amphioxus, lamprey, necturus, shark and cat. *this is a laboratory science course

A minimum grade of a C in a biology laboratory course numbered 2000 or above and a minimum grade of a C in a college level chemistry course, or permission of the instructor
