MGT 5150 Sports Analytics

This course will introduce students to basic analytic tools and their applications in sports. This course will cover descriptive statistics and the application of probability in sports. This course will also introduce correlation analyses to detect statistical relationships and regression analyses to identify factors that contribute to sports and business performance. The course will conclude with a survey of sports business scenarios using analytics, such as ticket pricing, advertising and promotions.
