ENG 4604 The Victorian Novel: Charles Dickens

This course will focus on the quintessential Dickens-that is-on three novels of his maturity that could not possibly be omitted from any serious discussion of his works and achievement. These novels are in order of their publication: Central themes reflected in these fictions will be explored in their various permutations.
